Lines: A Brief History

Review

When it came out in the late 1950s, the TLS wrote, "This book is an enchanting one and almost reconciles one to being human"

A remarkable book about the author's life between 10 and 17 years in the midst of Sutherland, miles away from any other habitation, with her Aunt, a seal (initially rescued baby, but eventually several hundred pound adult) and other animals for company.
